The VNA Foundation of Central New York is the fourth and newest arm to be activated under VNA Systems, Inc.'s corporate umbrella, which also includes Independent Health Care Services, Inc., Visiting Nurse Association of Central New York, Inc. and affiliate agency, CCH Home Care & Palliative Services, Inc.
The Visiting Nurse Association of Central New York, Inc. currently has the largest pediatric and maternal child home care programming in Onondaga County. Pediatric programming includes a wide range of care including instruction, supervision and treatment of chronic conditions. The maternal child health program serves pregnant and post-partum women and their newborns; the medically at risk pregnant and post-partum women and includes a Short Stay component for low risk women discharged 24 to 36 hours or less after a regular delivery. The VNA's pediatric team served over five hundred patients in 2008. The foundation, a 501(c3) organization helps enable the organization to enhance their pediatric home care services.
